Tucked in the heart of the Ellijay mountains, Evergreen & Twine is a celebration of handmade beauty, mountain charm, and the peaceful spirit of North Georgia. Inspired by winding country roads, apple orchards, and the quiet rhythm of nature, each piece in the shop carries a little bit of that journey.

Our Story
My name is Monica, and for over 30 years, I’ve been decorating — creating, arranging, and bringing beauty into the spaces around me. It all began with a group of dear friends we called Creative Friends in Brandon, Florida. With the support of a wonderful local business, Southern Hospitality in Plant City (which I still highly recommend!), we grew into a successful group known for hosting large home-decorating shows in beautifully appointed homes. Every piece we featured was handmade — each one crafted with love by talented artists using a variety of art forms.

Over the years, I found my deepest inspiration in the mountains. Countless trips to Amicalola Falls, pumpkin farms, and apple orchards stirred something in me. I began to bring nature into my arrangements and paintings — gathering colors, textures, and moods from the landscapes we visited.

Six years ago, I finally made the move to the mountains, and this year, a lifelong dream came true — the opening of my own shop nestled right here in the hills. But this isn’t just my shop. Evergreen & Twine is made whole by the creations of local artists — people who pour their hearts into their handmade work.
Evergreen & Twine is a place for anyone who needs a breath of peace, a moment of beauty, and a little touch of nature’s gifts — through sound, scent, color, and taste. When you walk through the door, you’re transported to a place that feels like home for your heart.
